High Voltage Cable Braided Shielding for New Energy Vehicles
New energy vehicle standard high-voltage shielded cable design usually uses for very thin laminated shielded tape (LST) and a single braid, or a single braid layer. The scope of this investigation is limited to a variety of single woven products and associated shielding properties. The main difference between the various standard shield designs is the percentage of excess braiding. A description of the overall visual braid coverage and typical design parameters for determining standard shielded cables is shown in Figure 1. Traditional logic guessed that the larger the coverage rate of visual braiding, the greater the shielding efficiency. Recent research shows that a considerable number of automotive high voltage shielding cable products shield design is contrary. The braiding coverage increases but the shielding efficiency decreases. The term characterizes this property, which is called overbraiding phenomenon.
